The Opportunity
We’re seeking an entrepreneurial Business Developer to drive our expansion across Latin American capital markets. This is a strategic role that combines traditional finance expertise with exposure to the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem.
You’ll be responsible for building and managing relationships with stock exchanges, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies across the region, while identifying opportunities at the intersection of traditional markets and emerging blockchain technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic partnerships with stock exchanges, broker-dealers, and financial institutions across Latin America
- Expand our exchange footprint beyond current markets in Central America to opportunities in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, and other LATAM countries
- Manage existing exchange relationships in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Belize, ensuring satisfaction and identifying expansion opportunities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both traditional equity markets and emerging digital asset ecosystems
- Navigate regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions, working with compliance teams to ensure proper licensing and approvals
- Represent Quatena Technologies at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and client events throughout the region
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities in tokenization, RWA (real-world assets), and stablecoin adoption in LATAM
- Collaborate with trading and operations teams to tailor our liquidity solutions to specific market needs
- Build pipeline and manage sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and onboarding
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience in financial services, fintech, or capital markets
- Deep knowledge of Latin American financial markets, ideally with existing relationships at exchanges or financial institutions
- Fluency in English and Spanish (Portuguese strongly preferred as third language)
- Track record of building strategic partnerships and closing complex B2B deals
- Understanding of capital markets structure, trading mechanisms, and exchange operations
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Latin America (30-40% travel expected)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with C-level executives and regulators
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working across diverse Latin American markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Based in Latin America with existing network in regional financial services
- Experience with digital assets, blockchain, or cryptocurrency markets
- Knowledge of market making, algorithmic trading, or liquidity provision
- Previous work with exchanges, trading venues, or market infrastructure providers
- Understanding of tokenization and real-world asset (RWA) trends
- Experience navigating regulatory processes in multiple LATAM jurisdictions
- MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, or related field
- Native Spanish or Portuguese speaker with deep understanding of local business culture
